Start Your Claim NowThe Met Police have turned to two wheels in order to respond quicker to any terror attacks that might take place in the City of London.
The Met’s armed counter-terrorism police department were displaying their fleet of grey BMW F800GS motorbikes which will help them cut through the heavy and sometimes gridlocked traffic of London to get to the scene of any terror attack.
The idea is for each bike to take two armed officers and even go off-road onto the pavement if necessary to cut through traffic and have the repsonse team at the scene in the shortest time possible.
Following on from the recent knife attack in London’s Russel Square, The Commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan have announced the start of Operation Hercules – which will see an increase of 600 additional firearms officers in the capital – so expect to see a lot more of those grey BMW F800GS’s across London.
